Armani is an Italian fashion house founded by Giorgio Armani in Milan in 1975. Over the years it has established itself as a luxury, high-end brand that designs and produces everything from haute couture, to accessories, jewellery, home interiors and of course, cosmetics and fragrances. Armani is renowned for its impeccable menswear and as a result, has been the chosen collaborator on many a film, most notably American Gigolo and The Untouchables.

Giorgio Armani Beauty, together with L’Oreal, released its first scent, Armani for Women, in 1982 followed by Armani for Men in 1984. The brand has since introduced a long line of popular fragrances enjoyed by both men and women worldwide, one of which is Acqua di Gio Pour Homme.

Azzaro

Founded by Tunisian-born Sicilian designer Loris Azzaro in Paris in 1962, Azzaro is the epitome of Mediterranean sensuality and style. Famous for its alphabetically named collections, Azzaro has established itself as a chic and ready-to-wear fashion label. It is a brand often associated with glamorous gowns, elaborate beading, bright chainmail garments and interesting cut-outs, but its range of fragrances is also worth a mention. Azzaro released the perfume for women that went on to become its signature scent in 1975 – Couture. Boucheron

French jewellery house Boucheron is a family dynasty founded by Frédéric Boucheron in Paris in 1858. Famous for being the first jeweller to open a boutique in the legendary Place Vendôme, Boucheron established itself as one of the world's premier jewellers, a legacy which lives on today.

Burberry

Britain's beloved luxury brand Burberry was founded in 1856 by Thomas Burberry. Apart from its commitment to quality and panache, Burberry is undoubtedly most well-known for its classic trench coat, first designed by Burberry himself, as well as its iconic and distinctive tartan pattern that is widely copied across the globe today.

Burberry has come a long way from being that brand most associated with outdoor attire. Bvlgari

BGreek-born Sotirios Voulgaris founded Italian brand Bvlgari in Rome in 1884. The flagship store was opened in Via dei Condotti in 1905 and by 1970, there were several international stores in existance, from New York to Paris and Monte Carlo.

Today there are almost 300 Bvlgari stores throughout the world, delivering elegance and sophistication to its loyal customers. Once known solely for its magnificent jewellery, today Bvlgari is known for a stylish collection that includes watches, accessories, leather goods and fragrances. Cacharel

Cacharel is a French brand started by designer Jean Bousquet in 1962. Its name was inspired by the usual term used by locals for the small duck found in the Camargue region.

Bousquet was all about offering young women a wearable alternative to haute couture which is evident in Cacharels' youthful, feminine and fun ready-to-wear attire. Bold colours together with a distinct lightness make for comfortable yet stylish clothes. When one of Cacharel's bright pink shirts appeared on the cover of Elle magazine in 1963, Cacharel became the brand on everyone's lips. The label continued to grow in popularity and eventually expanded to include accessories and fragrances.

The fashion house known as Carolina Herrera was established by Venezuelan-born American, Carolina Herrera in 1980. Her debut runway show showcased her stunning designs and cemented her name in the fashion world.

The French high fashion house Chanel was founded by Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel, known to most as Coco, in 1909. Chanel revolutionised fashion with her simple yet timeless designs, coupled with her belief that just because clothes were functional, didn’t mean that they couldn’t be flattering as well. Chloé

Egyptina-born Gaby Aghion founded French fashion house Chloé in Paris in 1952. Aghion is credited for being the first designer to coin the fashion term "prêt-à-porter", meaning "ready-to-wear". Seeing a gap in the market, Chloé set out to bring wearable, light, soft clothes made from luxurious fabrics to the public - garments that would essentially go from rail to body. This challenged the stiffness commonly seen in 50s fashion.

Chloé released its first perfume for women in 1975 - Chloé. In 2008, Chloé introduced a new, lighter version of the original: L'Eau de Chloé. In 2001 See, a more affordable line aimed at younger women, was released.

Davidoff

Davidoff - live every moment to the maximum.

Davidoff is a Swiss luxury tobacco goods brand started by tobacco merchant Henri Davidoff in the early 20th Century. His son Zino took over the family business, introducing their own brand of Cuban cigars. 


Whilst the Davidoff name is most commonly associated with cigarettes and cigars, the brand also offers leather goods, accessories and fragrances. Davidoff was the first men’s perfume to be released in 1984, followed by the most notable fragrance from Davidoff, Cool Water in 1988. Diesel

Italian fashion brand Diesel was founded by Renzo Rosso in Molvena, Italy, in 1978. Just as diesel is an alternative fuel, Rosso hoped that Diesel would go on to become the leading alternative jeans brand. Today, Diesel offers high-quality denim jeans, clothing, accessories and home-ware aimed mostly at young adults.

In 1992, Rosso acquired the Diesel Farm and started producing wine and olive oil under the Diesel name. The brand has always had a creative approach to marketing and is well known for its unusual and daring campaigns and adverts. In 1997, Diesel launched the first online store of any fashion brand and today has stores all over the world, from Paris to Milan, Rome and New York. Rosso has always had the vision to present a brand that stands out and this is evident further in the fact that each store is styled differently.
 
Diesel produced its first fragrance for both men and women in 1996, simply named Diesel. After partnering with L’Oreal, it went on to release Fuel For Life and has subsequently crafted a string of successful scents for both men and women.

Dior

French fashion house Dior was founded by Christian Dior in Paris in 1946. Dior was inspired to create gowns that accentuated the female curves and emphasised the voluptuousness of women. He achieved this by using generous amounts of luxurious fabric, resulting in voluminous dresses that characterised what was termed the "New Look". This kind of fashion challenged the simpler more conservative clothes of the post-WWII era and it was Dior's ingenuity that helped establish Paris as the centre of the fashion world.

Apart from being the master of silhouettes and shapes, the House of Dior went on to offer a range of luxury goods, cosmetics and fragrances. In 1947, Dior's first perfume offering was unveiled: Miss Dior, named in honour of Dior's sister, Catherine. Dolce and Gabbana

Italian luxury fashion house Dolce & Gabbana was founded by dynamic fashion duo Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana in 1985. This high class fashion powerhouse is known for its sexy, deep toned and glitzy garments, such as its signature “corset dresses”. Over the years Dolce and Gabbana has expanded to include handbags, eyewear, watches, jewellery, footwear and of course, fragrances.

The label is sold under two brands: Dolce&Gabbana (no spaces intended) and D&G. The first represents clothing, accessories, perfumes and eyewear, whereas the latter includes more contemporary and casual clothing, as well as watches and fragrances.

Dunhill

Alfred Dunhill is the face behind the British luxury men’s clothing and accessory brand, Dunhill. Originally a saddlery, Dunhill took over the business from his father in 1893. With the invention of the automobile and its rising popularity, the brand began to produce car accessories as well as those for drivers (such as goggles and overcoats).

In 1907, Dunhill opened a tobacco shop featuring its trademarked “white spot” pipes, along with lighters and, eventually, cigarettes in 1963. Dunhill was the first company to invent the one-handed lighter and its Rollagas butane lighter proved a hit in the 50s.

Today, Dunhill retail stores, called “Homes”, can be found worldwide and offer men a unique and luxury shopping experience. With their onsite barber shops and spas, men are made to feel pampered in between shopping for high quality goods. Dunhill produced its first perfume, Dunhill for Men, in 1934 followed by a long line of successful scents, such as Dunhill Desire.

Elie Saab

Lebanese fashion designer Elie Saab began designing in 1982 at the tender age of 18. Initially, Saab specialised in bridal couture but later expanded to include evening gowns and ready-to-wear attire.

Saab is known for his use of rich fabrics and detailed embroidery using pearls, crystals and gemstones. His designs are a perfect marriage of eastern and western cultures making his pieces not only beautiful, but unique as well. He became the first Lebanese designer to dress an Oscar winner – Halle Berry in 2002. He has gone on to dress many a celebrity and has accrued a strong and loyal following. Elie Saab has numerous retail outlets all over the world, from London to Milan and Paris.

In 2011, Saab released his first perfume entitled Le Parfum which became an instant success.

Fendi

Fendi is an Italian luxury fashion house founded by Adele Casagrande in Rome in 1918. It officially became known as “Fendi” after her marriage to Edoardo Fendi in 1925. The brand began as a boutique that show-cased fur and leather goods. Today, Fendi is known for its eyewear, watches, ready-to-wear collections and handbags, notably the “baguette” handbag. An exciting series of recycled handbags were produced in 2012.

Renowned fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld came on board in 1965 and produced Fendi’s first ready-to-wear fur collection in 1969. He also designed the “double F” logo
for the brand that is used today. Fendi is dedicated to delivering stylish, high-end goods and does so through outlets located worldwide.

Givenchy

Chic French fashion brand Givenchy was founded by Count Hubert de Givenchy in Paris in 1952. The brand has long been associated with modern, feminine fashions, delivering the perfect blend of French sophistication and American charm. Givenchy can be credited for putting the “shirt dress” on the map, as well being the first high-end fashion label to produce a luxury, ready-to-wear collection, entitled “Givenchy Université”.

Givenchy has dressed many famous women over the decades, but its one true muse has always been iconic Audrey Hepburn. She embodied all the brand stands for – femininity, style and elegance. Hepburn’s personal wardrobe as well as numerous film costumes were provided by the fashion house, a further testament to its distinctive class and panache.

Givenchy’s first perfume, L’Interdit, inspired by Hepburn and created for her own personal use, was released in the same year. Gucci

House of Gucci is the biggest selling Italian brand in the world and was founded by Guccio Gucci in Florence in 1921. The brand is best known for its high quality leather goods, but also includes clothes, jewellery, watches and shoes.

Gucci’s “double G” logo appeared in the 60s and continues to represent the brand currently. Today, there are more than 270 stores around the world, some of which stock Gucci for kids, a range that was produced in 2010. Guerlain perfumes France

Legendary French perfume house Guerlain was founded by Pierre-FrancĒ«is Pascal Guerlian in Paris in 1828. Guerlain opened his flagship store, creating custom fragrances for what would become a large and loyal clientele. It is one of the oldest perfume houses today and is a celebrated presence in the perfume industry.

Guerlain is well associated with royalty as it has been designing fragrances for royals for years, namely Queen Victoria and Empress Eugénie. Scents are commonly characterised by the olfactory accord “Guerlinade” and the house has gone on to produce some of the most beloved fragrances in the perfume world. Its flagship perfume is Shalimar and other recognisable scents include 1889’s Jicky, 1956’s Vetiver and Guerlain Homme.

Guerlain has grown to include makeup as well as skincare, and boasts over 300 different fragrances. It is dedicated to producing beautiful fragrances using only the best and most luxurious materials, such as ylang-ylang and French vanilla.

Hermès

Hermès is a luxury French brand that was established by Thierry Hermès in 1837. What began as a business primarily associated with equestrian leather accessories, soon grew into a coveted fashion empire producing perfumes, ready-to-wear garments and an array of leather and lifestyle accessories. Since the 50s, the Hermès logo has been a Duc carriage being pulled by a horse.

A long line of renowned designers have lent their names to this chic brand and have been involved in evolving the business into what it is today. Hermès is probably best recognised for its stunning scarves (carrés) and carefully crafted bags. In 1935, the Sac à dépêches, later renamed the “Kelly bag” after Grace Kelly, was put on the market. The “Birkin bag”, after actress Jane Birkin, is also a well-known handbag designed by Hermès. The brand has always endeavoured to deliver elegant, superior goods with an emphasis on fine craftsmanship.

Hermès has a range of over 30 perfumes, the first one being released in 1951 - Eau d’ Hermès. In 1952 the popular Calèche appeared. Subsequent years have seen numerous scents for both men and women be introduced such as 24 Faubourg and Voyage D’Hermès.

Hugo Boss

Founded by Hugo Boss in Metzingen, Germany in 1924, Hugo Boss is a German luxury fashion and style house. Originally producing work clothes, shirts, jackets and sportswear, the brand went on to provide soldiers with uniforms during World War II. Today, Hugo Boss is best known for its tailored, stylish men’s suits, along with its fragrances and accessories.

The brand operates under two core brands: Boss and Hugo. The Boss ranges include Boss Black, Boss Orange, Boss Selection and Boss Green, whilst the Hugo is its own separate label. The house’s first fragrance was revealed in 1985 – Boss Number One (for men). Both men and women can enjoy Hugo Boss scents today, which include Hugo Boss Bottled for the guys and Boss Jour for the ladies.

Jean Paul Gaultier France

Jean Paul Gaultier is a French fashion designer whose first collection was presented in 1976.

Having no formal training in fashion design, he began his career at a young age by sending his sketches to famous couture designers of the day.

Pierre Cardin and Jean Patou are among the designers who recognized his talent and helped him get started in the business.

Known as the bad boy of fashion, He introduced skirts for men in the 1980s and designed the distinctive cone bra worn by Madonna in the early 1990s.

The first perfume of the Gaultier house was launched in 1993 - the famous Jean Paul Gaultier EDP for women, whose name was subsequently changed to Classique. Classique was followed by Le Male in 1995, and Fragile in 1999.

All of them were known for their peculiar packaging and unusual compositions. Limited edition flankers have been released for many of the fragrances, featuring new "fashions" for the bottles.

Designer Jean Paul Gaultier has 70 perfumes in his fragrance base.



Paco Rabanne Spain

"DARE TO BE DIFFERENT"Paco Rabanne is a French fashion house founded in 1966. Francisco "Paco" Rabaneda Cuervo, the Spanish-born fashion designer more widely known as Paco Rabanne, fled Spain with his family during the Spanish Civil War.

Growing up in Paris, he is an architect by training, but he started his fashion career designing jewelry for other houses before trying his hand at clothing design. He quickly became known for his eclectic fashions featuring unconventional materials such as metal and paper.

Designer Paco Rabanne has 46 perfumes in his fragrance base. The earliest edition was created in 1969 and the newest is from 2013.
