We’re sure this list of helpful hints will assist you in wearing your selected favorite fragrance as a mood enhancer and confidence builder.

Spritz your fragrance onto your skin preferably after a bath/shower since your skin is clean and will absorb your fragrance more intensely.

Less is definitely more, your fragrance should attract people to you, not the other way around. Discretion is the key regarding your application.

Spray perfume lightly on your pulse areas, such as your wrists, décolleté (neckline in French), behind your earlobes and neck, inner elbow area, behind your knees and in your inner thighs.

Why these areas?

Since blood is closer to the surface, skin is warmer causing the scent to be more rapidly diffused.

It’s a known fact that men and women who don’t moisturize their skin don’t retain their fragrance.  Solution: apply your preferred fragrance once or twice a day and use fragrance layering of the same brand or use a quality non-fragranced moisturizer before applying your fragrance.

Now that you know what to do – here are a few interesting tips & facts

  • If the longevity of your fragrance is important to you then “layer it”. Use body products scented similar to your perfume or even better products of the same brand. Start with a shower gel/bath gel and then a body lotion with similar scent and finish it off with your favourite fragrance.

  • Be aware of the weather and the seasons. On hot summer days, scents tend to last longer whereas cold weather has the exact opposite effect. So vary the amount of perfume you wear with each season.

  • Don’t spritz while wearing clothes or jewelry, some fragrances do tend to stain clothes, metal and pearls, ruining your favorite apparel. keep in mind you are perfuming yourself, not your apparel.

  • Don’t rub your wrists when applying perfume to this area, since the scent does change considerably as you tend to crush the notes.

  • Madame Coco Chanel said, “Put on perfume where you’d like to be kissed.” advice from an expert.

  • Three sprays from an Eau de Parfum or five sprays from Eau de Toilette perfumes should be more than enough.

  • Don’t spray perfume directly onto your hair.

  • By using the same fragrance for an extended period, it is most likely that your olfactory senses will get used to the same fragrance, therefore leading to “nose blindness” Solution: Vary your fragrance from season to season and even from daytime to nighttime.

  • Expand and explore your fragrance horizon.
